Wirksworth’s John Potter (pictured at the recent Darley Moor duathlon) raced in the Stratford-upon-Avon Sprint Triathlon this weekend. Conditions were appalling but the organisers put on a great race – John was especially grateful to all the marshals, who stood in the pouring rain all morning so that a socially distanced version could be offered! Braving the wind and rain in lycra, there were 247 finishers in the men’s race and John managed to come 5th, which was enough to win his age group.
