On Sunday 27th December, 25 of us turned out for a welcome shot of beautiful winter sunshine at Carsington Water. Five groups (maximum 6 in each group) set off from Sheepwash car park and splodged around the reservoir, with two of the groups nudging the hour for the full circuit. Others took their time, hopping, skipping and jumping over the puddles and squishy paths before returning home.
My group also took time out to share their running and fitness targets for 2021 and ponder how best to motivate ourselves without the local running fixture list to keep us on our toes.
I suddenly heard myself declare ‘I am going to run all the club league routes before Easter’.
Now I have typed it. Oo eck.
That’s how targets become targets I guess!
