Three Wirksworth runners took part in the WIlne 10km today. Peter Johnston (41:43), Dave Spencer (43:06) and John Potter (39:30) all put in solid runs and were pleased with their performances, particularly Dave, who had trained very hard for the event and hence got the great result he deserved. Peter’s A race is the Berlin marathon in 3 weeks’ time.
On Saturday, Tanya Rountree and Adam Leighton (pictured at a previous parkrun) headed to Markeaton, where they both ran very well. Adam ran a course PB of 21:27 whilst Tanya comfortably ducked under the half-hour mark with 29:42. Brian Clements was down at Crystal Palace, running 25:46.
