Most of the Wirksworth parkrun contingent were at Alvaston this week and there were some cracking runs. Mark Crawshaw secured his first sub-20 5km in a while with 19:58 and Dave Spencer wasn’t far behing him with 20:17. Simon Edwards 22:18, Brian Clements 25:56 and Sarah Chamberlain 27:36 were also running for us.
In other local parkruns, Laura Jones ran a 30:10 PB at Markeaton with partner, John Potter pushing duaghter Jennifer home just behind her in 30:14, whilst Stef Brassington won the Shipley Cuntry pakrun in a time of 24:06 – well done, Stef!
On the road, Tanya Rountree was at Nant y Pandy, ducking under 30 minutes with 29:20, and Chloe Gordon nearly managed a sub-25 5km at Cannock Chase with 25:16.
