We’ve got to begin this week’s report on the road because Kate Watson (28:08) was proudly sporting her WRC vest at the Queenstown parkrun in New Zealand! Meanwhile, Stacy Newton was running himself into 6th place at the Skegness Boating Lake with 20:33.
Not even Sarah Chamberlain could beat the local weather this week, taking a mini break from her astonishing run of PBs with 26:25 at Markeaton. It’s worth noting, however, that this time is still over 1 minute faster than her Markeaton best of 2019. As if the horrible cross winds at Bakewell weren’t hard enough to cope with this week, the heavens opened on Emma Wild (23:51) and John Potter (24:04) at the turnaround cone. Emma was taking it easy on her first ever parkrun, so she will be back to race it soon.
