Tanya Rountree starred this week with a course PB of 26:27 at Bakewell. This was only 3 seconds off her lifetime PB, which she also recorded this year, at Markeaton.
Meanwhile, John Potter was down at his old stomping grounds in St Albans, Hertfordshire. It had been a while since John last raced there, so, even with the St Albans course being slightly harder these days, the improvement that Wirksworth running club has given him saw him smash his course PB by about a minute, running a time of 18:48.
