Wirksworth had 10 runners at local parkruns this week, a windy Saturday, with PBs very hard to come by. Chris Hubbard completed his first ever parkrun, at Bakewell, laying down a 26:16 target for himself to chase. Bob King (19:32), Mark Crawshaw (20:03), Stacy Newton (20:17), and Dave Spencer (21:04) were also at Bakewell. Sarah Chamberlain ran yet another course PB, this time it was 28:05 at the Shipley Country parkrun, 24 seconds faster than her previous best there. John Potter (18:46), James Watson (21:53), Adam Leighton (22:00), and Kate Watson (27:27) ran for us at Markeaton. Adam’s effort gave him the overall lead in the WRC league.
