Wirksworth’s John Potter competed in the Mallory Park Sprint Triatrhlon today. The event was a qualifier for the 2022 European championships so the standard was very high. Despite this, John managed to finish 47th overall, which placed him 8th in his age group. He thinks he has missed out on automatic qualification (by 1 second !) but a ‘roll down’ place is still quite likely.
If you’d like to try a tri, give John a shout and he will enthusiastically tell you that you should do it. Many of our club members have competed in various triathlons and duathlons, always loving it!
