Wirksorth’s Elaine Stone put together a fantastic performance today on the Langdale Half Marathon in the Lake District. Here is Elaine’s report:
Here’s a photo of me about to set off on the Langdale Half Marathon in the Lake District. Just in case you’re wondering, I’m holding my mask and not a pair of pants (a sign of the current times)! The race was really well organised with 10 runners setting off every 15 minutes. You were called to registration 15 minutes before your start time and then told to just set off when ready. The Lakes in autumn are a beautiful sight even when it’s pouring with rain. Thrilled with my results:
3/60 female runners
1/12 age cat
Must be all those Monday night training sessions!
