Being the quietly competitive person I am, I knew I needed to run a 10k to be able to gain the maximum points needed for the club league. I decided on the Colin Potter, which starts from the rugby club in Darley Abbey. It was a far more scenic course than I had remembered. It was a two-lap course, mainly through Darley Park with a short section out through Chester Green. It was a lovely sunny evening, a great atmosphere and the race was very well organised with beer and BBQ afterwards and a great long sleeved technical t-shirt for all finishers. 10 points please, John!
