About a year ago I started getting problems with my knees. After talking to people at the club I decided to go to see the physio at Run Forest. He gave me advice on changes I should make to my running style to reduce the impact on my knees along with exercises to help my balance and ankle problems.

The bursary was to have follow up sessions to see the impact of the advice and training.

At follow up sessions through gait analysis it could be seen that my running style had improved significantly and was reducing the impact on my knees. To complement the changes in running technique I had a fitting with Mike Blair to find shoes more suited to the way I run now which recently helped me run my first sub 20 minute park run.

Since my first appointment with John the physio I haven’t had any problems with my knees and I’d highly recommend him.
