On a hot, sunny Monday evening in late July, it was time for us to tackle the Bonsall Carnival Fun Run! Representing Wirksworth, we had Chris, Mark, Kate, Liz, Phil, Sue, Kat, Lewis and Andy. Some first timers, some seasoned fun-runners.
The course was back to its original route, starting from The Kings Head. 2 loops of a hilly route amounting to just over 6km total. The heat took its toll, but we all gave it a good go!
First back for the club was Lewis, 8th overall in 29:03. He was followed by Andy, Phil and Mark, then Kate who finished 3rd lady overall and bagged herself a beer and a very fancy glass!
Once everyone was back, we enjoyed a drink in the sunshine (supplied by Lewis and The Kings Head).
Another great local race, and it was decided that the original course is a bit more fun than last years!
