Three Wirksworth club members were among the 1045 runners who completed the Derby 10-mile race this week. Dan Thompson (pictured, proudly wearlng his medal) obliterated his pre-race prediction of 80 minutes with 1:15:02. Seb Hardy ran in just behind Dan, in 1:16:27, whilst John Potter’s 1:02:24 was a PB for the distance.
John had been at Markeaton the previous day, topping up his parkrun tally with a pacing challenge, though far more interesting is that Brian Clements (26:07) was giving the Bournemouth parkrun a go, whilst Kate Watson (29:51) was running at Haldon Forest.
Oliver Pratten ran The Roaches Fell race on Sunday, a gruelling 25km with 1,130 metres of climbing. Olly finished in just over 3 hours. Results to follow…
