Congratulations to Belper’s Ruth Keeley first lady and Matlock’s Christine Howard on breaking the course record. Matlock’s Billy Cartright and Ripley’s Luke Berrisford also beat the previous course record behind overall winner Harry Holmes of Wirksworth.
Richard the RO writes “..this years race was not only won by a Wirksworth Runner, but he smashed the existing record. Well done Harry – Fantastic! It was a fast race with all 3 first male finishers beating the record, as well as the first 2 female runners.
We had 69 entries (up on last year’s 56 and 32 the year before) so the race is getting established and it all went off without a serious hitch.
A big thank you to even who took part, helped out – or in some cases, both!”
