It was back to Parkrun and the pursuit of 5km times last weekend.
John Potter cycled from Wirksworth to Bakewell and took his tired legs out and back in a very impressive 18:43. Simon Edwards wasn’t far behind with 20:40. A special mention has to go to James Watson who braved the ridiculously cold morning in his summer shorts with no gloves (!) and cycled to Bakewell not even knowing where the parkrun was! Luckily, the mutual WRC attraction worked and he managed to follow John to the start and stick in a cracking 22:57.
Meanwhile, Tanya Rountree was putting in a solid 28:53 in the cold at Markeaton, only 35 seconds off her PB
