There was glory for Wirksworth team members in the results from the summer BDL series. During the presentation after Sunday’s BDL X-country at Derby’s Chaddesden Park, Elaine received the shield for 2nd female v45 and Paul was awarded the trophy for joint 1st male v45. The BDL series is not just for such champions, anyone with a club vest that can run for four or five miles can share the exhilaration. All types of runners take part, it’s a great way to increase your fitness whatever your level.
